He uses gas! / Mr. Gruber's friend has high hopes his hose, Betting Star, will win the Kentucky Derby, and though no one would admit it at first, it's a lucky thing Paddington injures the hose's jockey. With the help of a tad too much garlic, Paddington becomes one with the horse - who runs like the wind to get away from the smell. / It's Paddington's summer birthday and the Browns and Mr. Gruber celebrate by taking our little hero to an expensive restaurant. Once there, Paddington orders a marmalade sandwich, put out Mr. Gruber's omelet flambée, and makes the acquaintance of Sir Huntley Martin the marmalade king. |

What's more, Nate Holland, another pilot friend of Max and Stirling, disappeared in similar circumstances a few years ago, but didn't have Stirling's luck and perished in the accident. The squad come up with a plan: Jeff, at night, will fly a plane that looks exactly like the one Holland had, making believe Nate’s ghost is haunting Quatsino. They’re hoping the superstitious Barrows will crack down and confess. The plan works, and Barrows, scared to death, admits he caused the two accidents for the insurance money. |
